About Tulip
Tulips are a genus of spring-blooming perennial herbaceous bulbiferous geophytes. Tulips are plants that bloom in early spring. The flowers are cup-shaped and very colorful. They are among the most popular garden flowers.
There are about 4,000 varieties of tulip. They belong to the lily family. They often have a different coloured blotch at the base of the tepals (petals and sepals, collectively), internally.
Some fact about Tulip is that wild Tulip is said to be native to the arid region of central Asia. The original species have a variety of color ranges. Most of the are red and yellow, which are popular among others. Tulips are rich in providing colours.
Tulips first grew in south-central Asia. People brought the flowers to Europe in the 1500s and later to many different parts of the world.

Steps To Draw A Tulip
We try to make our tutorial simple and sweet. You can see the short demo in the image below. And you can follow the stepwise instructions in detail below. Follow the steps below to easily draw a tulip step by step.

1Draw U Shape

We are starting by drawing a leaf or petal of the tulip. Draw an irregular “U” shape as shown in the image above.
2Complete Petal

Now draw two curves crossed to each other to make two petals of the tulip as in the image above. Through this, we make two petals of a tulip flower.
3Draw Third Petal

Now at the center of the two petals that we drew earlier, draw a small petal between them as in the image above. Finally, we drew the three petals of flowers.
4Draw Small Petals

Similarly, complete the drawing tulip’s petals by drawing two more small petals between the two petal leaves that we draw earlier as in the image above. It looks like a mountain inside of two petals.
5Draw Stem

As we completed the flower part, now draw the stem of the flower as in the image above. Draw two curves parallelly for making a stem and make sure to attach it with the petals.
6Draw Pointed Leaf

As tulip flowers have long pointed leaves. Now draw a pointed leaf attached to the stem of the flower as in the image above.
7Draw Another Leaf

Now for drawing another leaf, draw a curve line as in the image above.
8Complete Leaf

Then draw another line to complete the leaf of the flower as in the image above.
9Grading

We just finished drawing a tulip flower. Now draw slightly dim lines on petals, and leaves to make it more realistic. Now we are ready for colouring our tulip flower in the next step.
Colouring a Tulip
After the drawing of a tulip is completed we move forward with coloring the tulip flower. For coloring, we had chosen some basic colours. Tulips are in different colours but we choose a light pink for the petals and light green for the stem. You can fill color according to our wish too.
Colour Details:
- Light Pink
- Light Green
